Change the default location for program installation

1. Click the Start button.
2. Click the Run command.
3. Type "regedit" in the Open text box.
4. Click OK. This launches the Registry Editor.
5. In the Registry Editor, go to the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion



6. In the right pane of the console, right-click the ProgramFilesDir entry.
7. Click Modify.
8. In the Edit String dialog box, type in a new path, such as "F:\Program Files" (that would set the new default location as the Program Files folder on the F: drive).
9. Click OK.
10. Close the Registry Editor.
