An alcohol enema is a faster method of alcohol intoxication since the alcohol is absorbed directly into the bloodstream. When rectally absorbed, ethanol will still eventually arrive at the liver, but the high alcohol content could overwhelm the organ. Med andre ord ville jeg nok ikke ansett det som spesielt trygt med tanke på hvor raskt du tar det opp og at du ikke har noen måte å kvitte deg med det når det først er absorbert. Om du derimot bruker tid på å beregne ut hvilken promille du ønsker å stoppe på og gjør det med sterilt utstyr skal det nok være relativt trygt, men virker som en unødvendig vanskelig måte å gjøre det på.
