GROOVEMASTER Ron Diggins, 84, was last night officially named the world’s FIRST disc jockey.

Ron blazed the trail for Fatboy Slim and co with a travelling record show in 1947.

And 54 years later, the bachelor of beat has been hailed the grandaddy of them all by specialist music-mixing journal DJ Magazine.
