Litt mer info:
Definition: Cardbus is a high-performance variation of the PCMCIA expansion card standard for laptop computers. Type II (single thickness) cardbus cards support bandwidth up to 50 megabytes/second, while Type III (double thickness) cards support 100 megabytes/second bandwidth. Traditional PCMCIA cards only support about 8MB/sec by comparison. Cardbus slots are reverse-compatible with PCMCIA cards, but cardbus cards require cardbus slots in order to function properly.
